Who is Jesus?

A Simple Solution to Our Problem

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, take a minute to read this page. It contains the simple, yet life-changing truths, that if personally applied, will change your life forever.
If you have already accepted Christ into your heart, ensure that you can explain what it means to know Him to someone who doesn’t, and are able to walk them through the following steps:

Our Problem – Separation

God created us in His own image and gave us abundant life. God gave us a will and freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
We try to bridge our separation from God in many ways:
Man's Problem
There is only one solution to our problem:

God’s Plan – Salvation

Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
(Jesus said)…“I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.” (A full and meaningful life). John 10:10 “The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36
Who is Jesus
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He substituted Himself for our sins and bridged the separation of people from God…

He Lives Today

“…Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures… He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred… He appeared to James, then to all the apostles… He appeared to me also.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

To Receive God’s Plan

  1. Admit your problem: being separated from God by sin. Recognize that you have sinned, need God’s solution, and repent.
  2. Believe Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead.
  3. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and He will give you salvation and guide your life.
  4. Receive Him now as your personal Lord, God, and Savior of your life.
In Romans 10:9 and 13 the Bible tells us “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved… Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

A Suggested Prayer to Receive Jesus Christ

Dear Lord Jesus and Savior, I know that I have sinned against You and that I am not living within your plan. For this I ask forgiveness. I believe that You died for me and in doing so, paid the penalty for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin and now ask You to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior. Help me now, to follow and obey You as Lord and to find Your perfect will for my life.

You have eternal life!

When you called upon the Lord, He listened. Your sins have all been forgiven (Colossians 1:14), you became a child of God (John 1:12), you will not be judged (John 5:24), and you now have eternal life (John 3:16). Do not be concerned with your feelings, for they may change sometimes under the pressure of daily life. Place your trust in your Heavenly Father “having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

His Promise Fulfilled

“The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:12-13
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.” (John 14:26)
